About Supacut

Interview-driven films start with long conversations, not a shooting script. Supacut is a desktop app for that problem. It helps you surface the strongest moments, see related ideas across interviews, explore narrative directions, and start from an editable rough cut instead of assembling from scratch.

It is not an NLE. You still finish the film in the editor you already use. Export is XML for Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve, and FCPXML for Final Cut Pro.

Documentary editors, branded-content editors, agency teams, and anyone cutting a piece that starts with interviews rather than a written script.

Original files stay on disk. Supacut does not modify them. Footage, transcripts, and project files stay on your machine. AI features use an API key you provide; those calls go to that provider, not to a Supacut media server.

supacut.io is the product site. It has a waitlist for launch email, a blog on interview-editing workflow, free browser tools that analyze pasted transcripts, and comparisons with tools editors already use.

The browser tools are not the desktop app. They send transcript text to be analyzed. The desktop app keeps media local.

The desktop app is a $27 one-time purchase. Updates are not included; each update costs $3. You bring your own API key for AI features.
