Privacy Policy

This policy applies to the website at supacut.io, including the waitlist form, the blog, the comparison pages, and the free browser tools. It also explains what the desktop app does not send to us.

If you join the waitlist, the form collects your name, company, and email address. Those three fields are stored in a Supabase table named waitlist_signups. We use them to email you when Supacut launches and to understand who is interested in the product.

Joining the waitlist is not a purchase. We keep a waitlist row until you ask us to remove it, or until it is no longer needed for launch communication.

The site loads Microsoft Clarity (project xfrc9mvjx5). Clarity records how people use the pages — for example clicks, scrolling, and session replays — so we can see where the site is confusing. Microsoft processes that data under its own terms.

The browser tools on this site (Soundbite Finder, Story Arc Generator, Interview Coverage Analyzer, Transcript Insights, and Redundancy Detector) send the transcript text you paste — and any sequence or file names you enter — to Supabase Edge Functions so the analysis can run. Those tools are not the desktop app. Do not paste material you are not allowed to process.

Tool submissions are separate from the waitlist. We do not use a pasted transcript to add you to the waitlist.

Supacut is a desktop application. It reads footage and transcripts on your computer and writes an XML or FCPXML sequence. It does not modify original media files. Footage, transcripts, and project files stay on your machine. We do not upload, store, or process your media or editorial metadata on our servers.

AI features in the desktop app use an API key you supply. Those calls go from your computer to the provider behind that key. You pay that provider directly.

When a desktop installer is offered from this site, the file is hosted on public object storage provided by Supabase.

The website and the services above rely on:

• Netlify, which hosts this site
• Supabase, which stores waitlist signups and runs the free-tool functions
• Microsoft Clarity, which provides session analytics

Clarity sets cookies or similar storage in your browser as part of its script. The waitlist form talks to Supabase from the browser. We do not run a separate cookie banner because the only third-party analytics script on this site is Clarity.

We do not publish a separate support email. To ask for access, correction, or deletion of a waitlist entry, submit the waitlist form from the same email address and write privacy request in the Company field. We use that to identify the request.
